On behalf of Skilled Trades Ontario, I am pleased to invite you to the 2026 Ontario Apprenticeship Summit on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at the Toronto Congress Centre.
Held during National Skilled Trades and Technology Week, the Summit brings together employers, educators, apprentices, government representatives, and industry leaders from across Ontario to explore the trends, opportunities, and partnerships shaping the future of the skilled trades.
This year's theme, Advancing Trades. Accelerating Tomorrow, reflects the important conversations driving the sector forward, from workforce development and training to apprenticeship pathways and certification. Through a dynamic program of presentations and discussions, attendees will gain valuable insight into Skilled Trades Ontario's evolving role and priorities as we continue to strengthen Ontario's apprenticeship system.
As the province's apprenticeship and certification authority, Skilled Trades Ontario remains committed to delivering accessible, responsive, and efficient services that support apprentices, employers, sponsors, and journeypersons at every stage of their skilled trades journey. The Summit will showcase recent achievements, emerging initiatives, and ongoing efforts to enhance the apprenticeship experience and build a stronger workforce for Ontario's future.
This year's event will also feature an expanded awards program celebrating excellence across the skilled trades. In addition to the Minister's Outstanding Journeyperson Award, attendees will join us in recognizing recipients of the STO Award of Excellence, the new Outstanding Apprentice Award, and the new Trades Safety Champion Award.
With more than 300 attendees expected, the Ontario Apprenticeship Summit offers a unique opportunity to connect with leaders from across the sector, exchange ideas, and contribute to a shared vision for the future of skilled trades in Ontario.
